1863 PCGS UNC Details Gem Silver Thaler Frankfurt City View, Stunning Details. Reverse: "FREIE STADT FRANKFURT / EIN GEDENKTHALER". An absolutely remarkable coin for those Thaler lovers with very fine details of both the city view look closely! , and of the heraldic Eagle on the reverse. Also remarkable is that the scene (the three buildings and the fountain) are still there in Frankfurt.
One of the buildings is the old City Hall from the days when Frankfurt was considered a Free Imperial City. Please take a close look at both the PCGS provided photos, and the ones I took from different angles. If not for the "cleaning" done at some point, this coin would be considered near flawless - you decide. I've not seen another like it & will be hard to part with. The person who obtains this coin will be lucky! Any questions or requests at all, please let me know. I'm not a dealer, just a private collector, but will do my best to respond as quickly as possible. The coin itself is 90% silver, 18.52g, 33mm diameter with a thickness of 2.9mm.
